As an organization of organizations, the coalition is committed to fostering as respectful and responsible an approach as possible to changing the way we interact with one another, the better to move beyond the easier task of just describing our problems to the harder one of describing possible solutions for them.
So pervasive, though, are both of those often visceral reactions to the real problems associated with both verbal and "wordless" incivility and actual violence that the coalition might well consider adopting as its one-size-fits-all-situations all-purpose response, "We need to confront our problems together, instead of each other."
For sure, it seems that there's more and more interest in "doing something different," maybe in adopting a different approach both to the issues we face and, just maybe, to each other?
